A new memoir has revealed what caused the rift between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton after it became apparent that the Duchess of Sussex’s husband will never be King. Meghan is said to have shouted at Kate’s staff, which left the future queen “horrified.”

Tom Quinn highlights the details of what caused tension between two royal wives in his book Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle. The author explains that there were a series of incidences in the first months of Meghan being part of the Royal family.
In an excerpt published by the Daily Mail, A former servant in the palace stated that Kate was shocked when Meghan shouted at her staff. This was when the discussion to leave Kensington Palace begun. The former servant that Meghan was not used to handling servants, but she overdoes her bossiness. For instance, she could want to be the people’s princess, but then she will want immediate attention from people whenever she wants.
Tension led to Harry and Meghan moving to Frogmore Cottage
However, there was more to the story, as Quinn highlighted on Monday to the Daily Star. Quinn indicated that Harry and Meghan were living in the Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace, which is probably quite small. In his opinion, Quinn explains that this reminded Meghan that as things were, she was second place. This was before moving to Frogmore Cottage.
Sometimes when Harry and Meghan and William and Kate get together there could be occasional tension. It was during one of those moments when Meghan lost her cool with one of Kate’s staff. He explains that Meghan lost her temper because it appeared the staff was not according to the attention she wanted.
For Meghan, she came to a surrounding where she could be given attention according to the status of who will be next Queen or King. This might have been a different experience for the former Hollywood star.
