Sometimes you do something for too long and it becomes a routine, and then you just do it out of habit. This is what happened with Chrissy Teigen and carrying out pregnancy tests before she realized she was pregnant.
Twitter was blazing hot on Friday, 14th August after the 34-year-old shockingly revealed how she found out she was pregnant with the new addition to their family. Chrissy Teigen is wife to Singer John Legend. After revealing the much appreciated news, a curious fan wanted to know how she knew she was pregnant and if she performed the breast implant removal surgery when pregnant. According to her, the timings weren’t adding up. “Oh, it’s quite a story. Lol” Teigen said.
Well, the Cravings cookbook author didn’t know she was pregnant when scheduling the surgery. She did the routine pregnancy test before surgery and it came out… negative. Much to her amazement and everyone else’s, it was not negative. “A few weeks after surgery, I took a test. And for many years now, I’ve taken pregnancy tests almost every month, praying to see a positive one day. Just wishful thinking. I never had a positive before.” The star revealed.
Her previous pregnancies have been through in vitro fertilization (IVF) so the monthly pregnancy test routine was just that to her, a routine. It’s obvious that the positive outcome of the home test scared her to the core. Performing surgery while pregnant is a dangerous activity. “We prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay. Went to every appointment terrified. Even without surgery, I didn’t think I could get pregnant naturally anyway. So the odds just felt bad.” She added.
She found out the news the morning when John Legend’s album was to be released on Good Morning America. The soon-to-be-mom has not had any complications yet and things have been pretty positive, but she’s still worried.
The mother of two, Luna, 4, and Miles, 2, has not done a gender reveal yet but her fans know the news will come in soon. We pray for a successful pregnancy journey.
