Joel Osteen’s sermon inspires Kanye West’s Sunday Service.
In his usual dramatic style, Kanye once again managed to cause a stir online after a video of him and his kids walking on water surfaced. The video was recorded in his latest Sunday Service, a series of religious-themed performances Kanye has been doing since 2019 as part of his new music era.
World-famous televangelist Joel Osteen graced this time round the event held literally on a lake, near Pinewood Studios in Atlanta. Osteen gave a sermon on the Bible story of Jesus walking out water that Kanye West took to heart and was inspired to talk. After the sermon, he and his kids were seen walking on the lake towards his choir, which was singing from the middle of the water body. The footage has since gone viral, and it has elicited varying responses from people worldwide who view it as ridicule and disrespect towards the Bible and Christianity.
Kanye has been in the limelight since announcing that he would be on the ballot of the presidential elections. His controversial friendship with the current American president Donald Trump also adds an interesting twist on things as an alliance between the two is now on the cards. Trump definitely needs the miracle, but only time will tell if Kanye will talk on this one.
Kanye West had taken a break on the Sunday services due to the coronavirus pandemic but made a huge splash with this return. However, it is still unclear if this will now be a weekly service since Kanye is currently stepping-up his campaign efforts, having gotten his name on the ballot in more than 10 states.
It was a sight to behold as Kanye and Osteen accompanied the entire choir on the walk through the lake with doves released into the air. Kanye’s eccentric fashion sense was evident in the day’s garments adorned by himself and the choir.
It was also a beautiful day for the west family as Kim Kardashian watched from the sides as her husband and their two kids accompanied their father on the walk.
