Khloe Kardashian says she grew up fearing sex thanks to her mother’s sex talks on the consequences of engaging in teenage sex. Now a mother of one, Khloe says her mother always left no stone unturned while addressing matters of sex to her daughters.
Appearing on the latest episode of Lady Parts With Sarah Hyland, Khloe went into details of how Kardashian-Jenner matriarch went about her sex talk. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star says she started having talks about birth control at around the age of 15.
The Good American says she learnt much about sex from her sisters’ girl talks. “When you’re the third child, they’ve already heard it all and I think the shock of their daughters having sex before marriage has already gone out the window,” she recounts. She was referring to Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.
Scare tactics
Khloe says thanks to her parents’ frequent sex talks; she grew up not only fearing sex but early pregnancies. In addition, she says her parents used to scare her with stories and pictures of sexually transmitted diseases like herpes.
Khloe says she started feeling safer when she started using birth control, adding that she didn’t want to be a teen mother.
On her part, Khloe’s big sister Kourtney Kardashian says her sex talks mainly focused on abstinence. Both Kourtney and Khloe feature on Lady Parts. She says although they only have a 5-year age difference, the two seem to have walked slightly different paths in terms of their mother’s sex talks. She added that their mother always told them not to have sex until they are married.
Khloé’s plans for a second baby
During the same episode, Khloé said the pandemic, especially the quarantine interfered with her plans to get a second baby. She said she intends to give her daughter True a sibling very soon. Khloé says she has always wanted a big family, but the pandemic made her reevaluate these plans. She added that her daughter was affected by the loneliness that comes with quarantining and felt for her during the pandemic.
